Step 1: Add sugar and salt to mixing bowl.
Step 2: Add flour.
Step 3: Add yeast.(The reason why we do not add yeast with salt and sugar (i read this somewhere) is because they "kill"/reduce activity of yeast.)
Step 4: Use a spatula to mix the dry ingredients,turn on mixer to speed 2 and add milk.
Step 5: When the milk is fully absorbed by the dry ingredients,it will look like this.
Step 6: Add butter and continue to knead.
Step 7: When all the ingredients come together,leave the mixer to knead the dough for about 15 minutes.
Step 8: Your dough is ready when it reaches membrane stage.
Step 9: Roll your dough into a smooth ball and proof!
I am using Bosch Mum4600,kneading the dough at speed 2.Different mixers will need different speed and time.
